Phoe Thaw, 33, of Yangon, Myanmar is one of the undefeated mixed martial artists signed with ONE Championship. Since joining the promotion in 2015, he has fought five bouts, all of which took place at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon.

Phoe’s inaugural bout was at “ONE: Kingdom of Warriors.” In the first round, he knocked out Kyal Sin Htoo, who is from Pha-An, Kayin State.

In 2016, Phoe won three bouts, first of which was at “ONE: Union of Warriors.” He knocked out Saw Llay, 28, of Okpo, Myanmar via punches at 2:27 of Round 1.

After beating Saw, Phoe knocked out Kat Pali of Mawlamyine, Myanmar via punches and elbows. Phoe and Kat’s bout took place at “ONE: State of Warriors.”

At “ONE: State of Warriors,” Phoe knocked out Saw Yan Paing, 29, via punches at 3:23 of Round 1. The latter is from Mon State, Myanmar.

In 2017, Phoe only had one fight. It was his first time to win not via technical knockout.

At “ONE: Hero’s Dream,” Phoe defeated Saw Ba Oo via split decision. The latter hails from Pa-An, Kayin State, Myanmar.

On February 23, 2018, Phoe faced an opponent from another country for the first time. He faced Sor Sey, 35, of Cambodia in the featherweight division.

The match between Phoe and Sor was the seventh bout at “ONE: Quest for Gold.” The former knocked out his Cambodian opponent via push kick at 1:53 of Round 1.

Thaw, a lethwei practitioner, traded explosive strikes with Sor, a Khun Khmer specialist, right at the center of the cage. When a left hand staggered the Cambodian MMA fighter along the fence, the Burmese MMA fighter capitalized on the opening and abruptly ended matters with his next kick.

While Phoe now has 6 wins and 0 loss, Sor’s record downgraded to 3 wins and 2 losses. The Cambodian MMA fighter made his ONE Championship debut on December 5, 2015 at “ONE” Kingdom of Khmer” at Koh Pich Theatre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where he knocked out his fellow Cambodian Chim Chetra via punches.
