On March 9, 2018, Sotir Kichukov, 27, of Bulgaria will enter the ONE Championship cage for the fourth time. He will face Danny “The King” Kingad, 22, of the Philippines in the catchweight division at “ONE: Visions of Victory” at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Originally, Kingad’s opponent at “ONE: Visions of Victory” was Gianni Subba, 25, of Malaysia but Subba replaced ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, 28, of Brazil as the opponent of Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Australia in the main event. Moraes had to pull out of the competition due to a knee injury.

This is not the first time Kichukov fought as a replacement of an opponent inside the ONE Championship cage. On December 2, 2016, he replaced Rafael “Indio” Nunes, 30 of Brazil as the opponent of Mark “Mugen” Striegl, 29, of the Philippines at “ONE: Age of Domination.”

Nunes was removed from the “ONE: Age of Domination” card for undisclosed reasons. His replacement, Kichukov, ended up losing to Striegl via unanimous decision.

Kichukov made his ONE Championship debut on September 27, 2015 at “ONE: Odyssey of Champions.” He was submitted by Yusup Saadulaev, 32, of Russia via arm-triangle choke.

On January 26, 2018, Kichukov fought inside the ONE Championship cage for the third time. He lost to “The Southern Eagle” Ma Haobin at “ONE: Global Superheroes” via unanimous decision.

In total, Kichukov has 13 wins and 7 losses. He has yet to win a bout since 2015.

The last time Kichukov won was on July 19, 2014. He submitted Stefan Spasovski of Macedonia via arm-triangle choke at “WFN 1: Warrior Fight Night 1.”
