Danny “The King” Kingad, 22, of Team Lakay from Baguio City, Philippines was originally set to face Gianni Subba, 25, of Malaysia on the main card of “ONE: Visions of Victory.” However, Subba has been promoted to the main event facing Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Australia.

“ONE: Visions of Victory” was supposed to be headlined by McLaren and ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, 28, of Brazil. But due to a knee injury, Moraes had to pull out of the fight so Subba was selected as his replacement.

As Subba’s replacement, Sotir Kichukov, 27, of Bulgaria will face Kingad on the main card. While McLaren and Subba are competing in the flyweight division, Kingad and Kichukov will battle it out in the catchweight division.

“ONE: Visions of Victory” will mark Kingad’s fifth fight under ONE Championship. His promotional debut took place on April 15, 2016 when he knocked out Muhamad Haidar in the second round at “ONE: Global Rivals” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

For the second time around, Kingad won inside the ONE Championship cage on December 2, 2016. He submitted his fellow Filipino fighter Eugene Toquero via armbar in the first round at “ONE: Age of Domination” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

On April 21, 2017, Kingad was able to maintain his undefeated record when he defeated Muhammad Aiman of Malaysia at “ONE: Kings of Destiny” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The Team Lakay fighter won via unanimous decision.

On November 10, 2017, Kingad had the first loss of his career. He failed to earn the ONE Flyweight World Champion belt as he was submitted by Moraes via rear-naked choke in the first round at “ONE: Legends of the World” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
