Team Lakay fighter Crisanto Pitpitunge made weight at the official weigh-ins for “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” hosted in Amman, Jordan. The former PXC Bantamweight champion, who is the first fighter to represent Philippines in Jordan, will be facing Jalal Al Daaja who will be fighting in front of his hometown audience.
Veteran coach Mark Sangiao will be at the corner of Pitpitunge. The fighter and his coach had a 48-hour long journey due to unexpected delay in flight schedules.
Pitpitunge was the first fighter from Philippines to sign with the Bahrain-based MMA promotion, but was unable to compete due to sustaining an injury. The bantamweight fighter said he was confident and proud to represent Philippines in Jordan and promised to give his best at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.”
“We are overwhelmed by the dedication and determination showcased by Crisanto Pitpitunge,” Brave Combat Federation Chief Creative Officer Hari Bhagirath said. “Despite the flight delay and overwhelming odds he was able to make weight.”
“This will be for the first time a fighter from Philippines will be fighting in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” Bhagirath said. “Indeed in 2016, Crisanto was the first fighter from Philippines to sign the contract with Brave. We are glad to have the fighting police officer onboard.”
