Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation will hold its 11th event at the Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Officially called Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drummond, the arena can hold 25,000 people making it the biggest indoor sporting arena in Brazil.

“Brave CF 11” will take place at the arena on April 13, 2018. This is the promotion’s third event held in Brazil

Brave CF has announced that the event will be three times bigger than previous editions of the promotion. The main event of the night will be for the interim lightweight championship title between 2016 Brazil Fighter of the Year Luan “Miau” Santiago, 23, and former Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 23.

Both Santiago and Martins are Brazilians. The former is from Salvador, Bahia while the latter is from Montes Claros, Minas Gerais.

Santiago currently holds a professional record of 12 wins and 2 losses. Among these 12 wins, 2 are under Brave CF.

On March 18, 2017, Santiago made a successful Brave CF debut after beating Ivan “Choko” Castillo, 27, of Mexico at “Brave 3: Battle in Brazil.” Castillo was knocked out by Santiago via punches.

On August 12, 2017, Santiago returned in the Brave CF cage at “Brave 8: The Rise of Champions.” Once again, he won via technical knockout via punches against Igor Soares, 37, of Curitaba, Parana, Brazil.

On the other hand, Martins current has 19 wins and 3 losses. One of these wins is under Brave CF.

Like Santiago, Martins made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 3: Battle in Brazil.” In the third edition of the promotion’s events, Martins submitted Fabian Galvan of Mexico via Brabo choke.
