The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), will return to Malaysia’s bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur. On March 9, 2018, “ONE: Visions of Victory” will ignite the Axiata Stadium with another evening of authentic martial arts action.
In the main event, Filipino-American Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia will face Gianni Subba, 25, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They will battle it out in three five-minute rounds in the flyweight division.
There will be three bouts on the preliminary card. In the third bout, “Jungle Cat” Muhammad Aiman, 23, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will battle it out with Rin Saroth, 24, of Phnom Penh, Cambodia in the bantamweight division.
A former amateur standout, Aiman is one of the fastest rising young martial arts talents of Malaysia. Featuring a well-rounded skill set, he has impressed in his time inside the ONE Championship cage thus far, defeating his fellow Malaysian Hisyam “Zephyrus” Samsudin, 26, by unanimous decision in his first match in the promotion before stopping Brazilian grappler Eduardo Novaes, 37, in his second outing.
In Aiman’s most recent contest, he thoroughly dominated Chinese prospect “The Pugilisy” Yang Fei, 25, to win a unanimous decision. The former MIMMA Featherweight Champion based out of Bali, Indonesia is now set to take on his next challenge in Saroth.
A former WK 3 Featherweight Tournament Finalist, Saroth has a khun khmer record of 110-22-0. He made his ONE Championship debut in December 2015 at “ONE: Kingdom of Khmer,” winning by first-round armbar submission over Mission Ali of Cambodia.
