“ONE: Visions of Victory” marked the 10th bout of Christian “The Warrior” Lee under ONE Championship. It was also the ninth time the Singaporean fighter, who is the younger brother of reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, won inside the cage of the promotion.

Out of all the 10 ONE Championship bouts of Christian, the only time he lost was on August 13, 2016 when he was submitted by Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen via guillotine choke at “ONE: Heroes of the World.” A year later, Nguyen became the reigning ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion and the promotion’s first ever two-division champion.

Christian made his ONE Championship debut on December 11, 2015 at “ONE: Spirit of Champions,” where he knocked out David Meak via punches. On January 29, 2016, Christian submitted Mahmoud Deab Mohamed via kimura at “ONE: Clash of Heroes.”

On March 18, 2016, Christian knocked out Anthony Engelen at “ONE: Union of Warriors” via punches and elbows. On May 6, 2016, the former submitted Cary Bullos via brabo choke at “ONE: Ascent to Power.”

On May 27, 2016, Christian won via technical knockout again at “ONE: Kingdom of Champions,” where he defeated the late Rocky Batolbatol. It was the last time Christian left the cage as an undefeated fighter.

After losing to Nguyen, Christian enjoyed a redemptive win at “ONE: Kings of Destiny” where he knocked out Jianping Wan via punches. It was followed by another win by Christian at “ONE: Quest for Greatness” where he submitted Keanu Subba via armbar on August 18, 2017 and at “ONE: Warriors of the World” where he knocked out Koketsu Boku via punches on December 9, 2017.

At “ONE: Visions of Victory,” Christian faced another Japanese opponent. The Singaporean fighter submitted Kazunori Yokota of Chiba, Japan via guillotine choke at 4:34 of Round 2.

Set on March 9, 2018, “ONE: Visions of Victory” took place at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was headlined by hometown hero Gianni Subba, 25, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Filipino-Australian Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Australia.
