Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Danny “The King” Kingad earned his sixth win as a professional mixed martial artist at “ONE: Visions of Victory.” It was his fourth win under the ONE Championship banner.

At “ONE: Visions of Victory,” Kingad defeated Sotir “The Trouble” Kichukov of Bulgaria via unanimous decision. It was a redemptive win for the Filipino contender who just came from a loss to the reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes.

Kingad made his professional MMA debut on November 20, 2014 when he won at “Rock ‘N Rumble Year 2” against Reymond Doliguez via unanimous decision.  On October 24, 2015, Kingad returned to the cage and earned another unanimous decision victory at “Spartacus MMA” over Jiar Castillo.

On April 15, 2016, Kingad made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Global Rivals.” It was a successful promotional debut as he knocked out Muhamad Haidar via punches at 2:20 of Round 1.

On December 2, 2016, Kingad won his second ONE Championship bout. He submitted Eugene Toquero at “ONE: Age of Domination” via armbar at 4:36 of Round 1.

On April 21, 2017, Kingad won a ONE Championship bout for the third time. He won via unanimous decision at “ONE: Kings of Destiny” over Muhammad Aiman.

With an undefeated record, Kingad challenged Moraes at “ONE: Legends of the World.” The Team Lakay fighter failed to dethrone the champion and suffered his first loss as an MMA fighter.

At ONE: Legends of the World,” Kingad was submitted by Moraes via rear-naked choke at 4:45 of Round 1. But at “ONE: Visions of Victory,” Kingad proved that he belongs to the winning side and deserves another title shot.

After losing to Kingad, Kichukov now has 13 wins and 8 losses. Kingad, on the other hand, now has 6 wins and 1 loss.

“ONE: Visions of Victory” took place at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was headlined by hometown hero Gianni Subba, 25, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Filipino-Australian Reece “Lightning” McLaren, 26, of Australia.
