‘UFC Fight Night 127’ fight card: Danny Henry vs Hakeem Dawodu

On March 17, 2018, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will hold its ninth event in 2018 titled “UFC Fight Night 127.” There is only one featherweight match on the fight card, which is between Danny “The Hatchet” Henry, 29, of Edinburgh, Scotland and Hakeem “Mean” Dawodu, 26, of Alberta, Canada.

Dawodu is an undefeated fighter making his UFC debut. He currently holds a record of 7 wins, 1 draw and 0 loss.

Among Dawodu’s wins, 6 were via knockout and 1 was via unanimous decision. His most recent fight was on March 18, 2017 at “WSOF 35: Ivanov vs Jordan” where all the judges determined him as the winner over his opponent Steven “Super” Siler, 31, of the United States.

Like Dawodu, Henry won in his most recent fight via unanimous decision. On July 16, 2017, all the judges determined Henry as the winner at “UFC Fight Night 113” on July 16, 2017 over his opponent Daniel “Kid Dynamite” Teymur, 30, of Sweden.

Currently, Henry holds a record of 11 wins and 2 losses. The only opponents he lost to were Michael Doyle of Northern Ireland and Igeu “Smiley” Kabesa of South Africa although Kabesa lost to Henry during their rematch.

Henry defeated his first three opponents as a professional fighter namely Danny Grayson of Scotland, Kieran “The Hater” Malone, 26, of Scotland and Leon “Rocky” Del Gaudio, 33, of England. After losing to Doyle, Henry defeated David “The Gladiatior” Galbraith of Scotland and South African fighters Hanru Botha, Matthew Buirski, Boyd Allen, Barend “BB Gun” Nienaber and Wade “The Warrior” Broth as well as Kabesa and Teymur.

“UFC Fight Night 113” marked Henry’s UFC debut. His second fight under the promotion will be his match against Dawodu at “UFC Fight Night 127.”

Taking place at the O2 Arena in London, England, “UFC Fight Night 127” will be headlined by heavyweight contenders Fabricio “Vai Cavalo” Werdum, 40, of Brazil and Alexander “Drago” Volkov, 29, of Russia. Here is a teaser for the event:
