Taking place at the O2 Arena in London, England on March 17, 2018, “UFC Fight Night 127 is the ninth 2018 event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. On the preliminary card, there will be two lightweight bouts, one of which is between Nasrat Haqparast, 22, of Germany and an opponent still to be officially announced.

Originally, Haqparast was scheduled to fight Alex “The Executioner” Reyes, 31, of the United States at “UFC Fight Night 127.” However, the American fighter had to pull out of the competition because of an injury, according to German publication GNP1.

Nothing is known about the nature of Reyes’s injury and the UFC has yet to make an official announcement about it. As soon as the news about Reyes’s injury came out, UFC welterweight contender Darren “The Gorilla” Till, 25, took to Twitter to suggest that his fellow English fighter Mike Grundy, 31, is ready to replace Reyes as Haqparast’s opponent at “UFC Fight Night 127.”

Grundy was quick to retweet Till’s tweet. The former wrote that he was interested in the fight.

“It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve always been training all the way through it,” Wigan Today quoted Grundy as saying. “I’m always ready, I train day in, day out, and I’m ready to go.”

Grundy added that he would win the fight against Haqparast. The fighter from England said that since he trains “daily with lands who are in the UFC,” he knows exactly how to deal with the UFC fighters.

Currently, Grundy holds a professional MMA record of 11 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Haqparast has 8 wins and 2 losses.

“UFC Fight Night 127” will mark Haqparast’s second fight inside the UFC cage. He made his promotional debut on October 21, 2017 at “UFC Fight Night 118” at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland where he lost to Marcin Held, 26, of Poland via unanimous decision.
