The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will hold “UFC 225” on June 9, 2018 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It will be headlined by the reigning UFC Middleweight Champion Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker, 27, of Sydney, Australia and his challenger Yoel “Solder of God” Romero, 40, of Florida, USA.

Recently, it was confirmed that Rashad “Suga” Evans, 38, of New York, USA will face Anthony “Lionheart” Smith, 29, of Nebraska, USA at “UFC 225.” They will compete in the light heavyweight division.

“UFC 225” will mark Evans 23rd UFC bout. He has been competing in the promotion since 2005.

The last time Evans won a bout inside the UFC cage was on November 16, 2013. He knocked out Chael Sonnen, 40, of Oregon, USA via punches at “UFC 167.”

Evans has been in a losing streak since he defeated Sonnen. The former lost to his four most recent opponents namely Ryan “Darth” Bader, 34, of Arizona, USA, Glover Teixeira, 38, of Brazil, Daniel Kelly, 40, of Australia and Sam “Smile’n” Alvey, 31, of Wisconsin, USA.

Currently, Evans holds a record of 19 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, Smith has 28 wins and 13 losses.

As compared to Evans, Smith is new to the UFC. The fighter from Sydney made his promotional debut on February 21, 2016 at “UFC Fight Night 83” where he defeated Leonardo “Leleco” Guimaraes, 35, of Bahia, Brazil via unanimous decision.

Both Evans and Smith are looking forward to earning a redemptive win. Like Evans, Smith lost in his most recent bout, which was at “UFC Fight Night 125” where he was knocked out by Thiago “Marreta” Santos, 24, of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
