The Ultimate Fighting Championship is all set for “UFC Fight Night 127” at the O2 Arena in London, England on March 17, 2018. One of the bouts on the preliminary card is a match between Afghan-born German mixed martial artist Nasrat Haqparast, 22, and English MMA fighter Nad Narimani, 30, in the lightweight division.
Originally from Kandahar, Afghanistan, Haqparast is fighting out of Hamburg, Germany. He made his UFC debut on October 21, 2017 at “UFC Fight Night 118” where he lost to Marcin Held, 26, of Tychy, Poland via unanimous decision.
Haqparast is fighting inside the UFC cage for the second time “UFC Fight Night 127.” He was supposed to face Alex Reyes, 31, of California, United States but the latter was injured and had to pull out of the competition.
It was announced that Narimani is replacing Reyes only a week before “UFC Fight Night 127.” The former usually competes in the featherweight division so competing in the lightweight division makes it more challenging for him.
Fighting out of Bristol, England, Narimani is making his UFC debut at “UFC Fight Night 127.” He is the reigning Featherweight Champion of the London-based mixed martial arts promotion Cage Warriors.
Narimani currently holds a record of 10 wins and 2 losses. The only fighters he lost to are Graham “Afterburner” Turner, 30, of Scotland and Alex Enlund, 30, of England.
On the other hand, Haqparast currently has 8 wins and 2 losses. Almost five years before losing to Held, the German fighter lost in his professional MMA debut to his fellow German fighter Adrian Ruf at “Free Fight Association Germany.”
