On March 24, 2018, Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai, 26, of Thailand and Robin “The Ilonggo” Catalan, 27, of the Philippines in the strawweight division at “ONE: Iron Will” at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. This makes the latter the third Filipino opponent of the former.

The first Filipino fighter Kongsrichai faced was Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22. The Thai fighter was submitted by Pacio via rear-naked choke at “ONE: Heroes of the World” on August 13, 2016.

On December 9, 2017, Kongsrichai knocked out Rabin “The Rock” Catalan, 31, via punches at “ONE: Warriors of the World.” This made Rabin, brother of Robin, the second Filipino opponent to fight the Thai fighter.

Robin is aiming to place himself back on the winning track after falling short against Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, 39, of Thailand on August 18, 2017 at “ONE: Quest for Greatness.” Aware of Robin’s desire to win at “ONE: Iron Will,” Kongsrichai has no time to be complacent.

“He is a tough and hungry warrior,” Kongsrichai said of Robin. “I know that he also wants to achieve his dreams in this sport, but on March 24, I will be the one to walk out as the winner. This will be a war, and I hope I can win this fight in front of my countrymen with another finish.”

Kongsrichai believes that a convincing win over Robin will elevate him into the upper echelon of ONE Championship’s strawweight division. The Thai fighter said, “I have been dreaming of becoming a world champion since I was a kid, which was also the reason I got my moniker Dream Man.”

Under the tutelage of coaches Tommy Hayden and Ponlawat Maki along with the whole Thailand-headquartered Team Hunter crew, Kongsrichai is in deep training on upgrading his arsenal for his upcoming meeting with Robin. Kongsrichai is fully satisfied with the turnout of his training camp for his return to the ONE Championship cage as he expects a win-hungry opponent in his Filipino opponent at “ONE: Iron Will.”

In the main event of “ONE: Iron Will,” ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 37, of Brazil will defend his title from ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 29, of Vietnam. Here is a trailer for the event:
