On April 27, 2016, Kritsada “Dream Man” Kongsrichai, 26, of Thailand made his ONE Championship debut. On March 24, 2018, he will fight in the cage in the promotion for the fifth time at “ONE: Iron Will.”
“It is an honor for me to represent my country,” Kongsrichai said. “I will do my best to make my people proud.”
“Since I joined ONE Championship, I have learned so much that has helped me throughout my career,” Kongsrichai added. “I feel that I am ready to take the next step.”
At “ONE: Iron Will,” Kongsrichai will compete against Robin “The Ilonggo” Catalan, 27, of the Philippines in the strawweight division. Their match will be the second bout on the preliminary card.
“My opponent is not easy,” Kongsrichai said of Catalan. “And it is going to be tough to face my fellow countryman, but I am prepared to do what it takes to win.”
Kongsrichai is one of the most promising young athletes in ONE Championship. He made his promotional debut in the promotions first ever show in Bangkok in 2016, stopping opponent Kev Hemmorlor via first-round technical knockout.
In Kongrichai’s last bout, he made quick work of Rabin Catalan, brother of Robin, finishing his Filipino opponent via first-round technical knockout. The Thai fighter is now set to return to the ONE Championship cage to give another spectacular performance.
On March 20, 2018, Kongrichai and his fellow Thai martial artists Shannon “One Shin” Wiratchai, 29, Dejdamrong Sor “Kru Rong” Amnuaysirichoke, 39, and Rika “Tiny Doll” Ishige, 28, showcased their martial arts techniques during an open workout at Bangkok Fight Lab in Bangkok, Thailand. Wiratchai, Amnuaysirichoke and Ishige are also on the “ONE: Iron Will” card.
Taking place on March 24, 2018 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, “ONE: Iron Will” will be headlined by ONE Bantamweight World Champion Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 37, of Brazil and ONE Featherweight and Lightweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 29, of Vietnam.
