The 11th event of Brave Combat Federation will take place at the Mineirao Stadium Terrace in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on April 13, 2018. This is the third event of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion to take place in Brazil.
On March 28, 2017, the first Brave CF event to take place in Brazil titled “Brave 3: Battle in Brazil” took place at the Max Rosenmann Arena in São José dos Pinhais, Curitiba. The second one was “Brave 8: The Rise of Champions,” which took place at the Almir Nelson de Almeida (Taruma) Gymnasium in Curitaba.
At “Brave 11,” Georges Bardawil of Lebanon will have his first appearance in the promotion. He will face Carlos “Carlin” Soares of Brazil in the bantamweight division.
Bardawil is considered as one of the best bantamweights in the Arab world. He held championship titles of Cedar FC and Evolution Championship, making him the only Arab athlete to capture championships in two different promotions at the same time.
Of all Bardawil’s wins, only 1 ended via a decision while the rest are all knockouts. On January 29, 2016, he defeated Emerson Domingo do Nascimento via split decision at “Revelation Fighting Championship 3.”
Currently, Bardawil has 6 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Soares has 8 wins and 1 loss.
The only fighter to defeat Soares was Matheus Mattos. On April 30, 2016, Mattos submitted Soares via rear-naked choke at “Jungle Fight 86.”
In Soares’s most recent bout, he submitted Fernando Lourenco via triangle choke at “Jungle Fight 92” on September 30, 2017. Lourenco is also in the “Brave 11” card fighting Marcel Adur in the bantamweight division.
“Brave 11” will be headlined by 2016 Brazilian Fighter of the Year Luan “”Miau” Santiago, 23, will face former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) prospect Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 29, who will compete for the Interim Championship title. Watch the teaser here:
