The 11th event of Brave Combat Federation will take place at the Mineirao Stadium Terrace in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on April 13, 2018. This is the third event of the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion to take place in Brazil.

On March 28, 2017, the first Brave CF event to take place in Brazil titled “Brave 3: Battle in Brazil” took place at the Max Rosenmann Arena in São José dos Pinhais, Curitiba. The second one was “Brave 8: The Rise of Champions,” which took place at the Almir Nelson de Almeida (Taruma) Gymnasium in Curitaba.

The “Brave 11” main card will feature Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante, a pioneer and champion of multiple promotions. He will face his fellow Brazilian fighter Erivan “Negao” Pereira in the lightweight division.

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Cavalcante is a veteran MMA fighter with 21 wins and 11 losses. He made his professional MMA debut on February 27, 2004 at “Absolute Fighting Championship 7” where he submitted Justin Wisniewski via guillotine choke.

The last time Cavalcante won in the cage was on December 2, 2016. He defeated Robert Turnquest via unanimous decision at “Titan FC 42.”

After defeating Turnquest, Cavalcante lost to Kurt Holobaugh at “Titan FC 44” and to Alan Omer at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” both via technical knockout via punches. “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” marked Cavalcante’s Brave CF debut.

On the other hand, Pereira is making his Brave CF debut at “Brave 11.” Hailing from Brasilia, Federal District, he currently holds 11 wins and 1 loss.

The only opponent Periera was unable to defeat was Artem Damkovsky. The latter defeated the former at “M-1 Challenge 74” via unanimous decision on February 18, 2017.

“Brave 11” will be headlined by 2016 Brazilian Fighter of the Year Luan “”Miau” Santiago, 23, will face former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) prospect Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 29, who will compete for the Interim Championship title. Watch the teaser here:
