Originally from Khasavyurt, Dagestan, Russia, Magomedsharipov is training in Toms River, New Jersey, USA. He is a former featherweight champion of the Russian MMA, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu promotion Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB).
Magomedsharipov made his UFC debut on September 2, 2017 at “UFC Fight Night 115.” He submitted Mike Santiago via rear-naked choke in the second round.
On November 25, 2017, Magomedsharipov submitted Sheymon Moraes of Brazil via anaconda choke in the third round at “UFC Fight Night 122.” The victory improved the Khasavyurt native’s professional mixed martial arts record to 14 wins and 1 loss.
