‘ONE: Grit and Glory’ flyweight bout: Eliyas Latupeirissa vs Dodi Mardian

03 April 2018 – Jakarta, Indonesia: The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has just announced “ONE: Grit and Glory” set for May 12, 2018 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. The absolute best in local and international martial arts talent are ready to showcase their skills inside the prestigious ONE Championship cage.

Among the Indonesian fighters on the “ONE: Grit and Glory” undercard are Eliyas “Malaku Warrior” Latupeirissa, 22, and Dodi “The Maung” Mardian, 33. This will mark the ONE Championship debut of the former.

Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, Latupeirissa is a top Indonesian martial arts prospect who represents Tigershark Fighting Academy. He is known as a boxing stylist and a powerful puncher.

On the other hand, Mardian is a silat practitioner and an Indonesian combat sports veteran. Also skilled in the arts of Muay Thai and sanda, he made his cage debut in 2016 after deciding to showcase his talent on the biggest stage of competition.

Mardian is looking forward to making a name for himself in ONE Championship. He seeks to put his skills to the test in the world’s toughest proving ground for martial arts.

Latupeirissa and Mardian will compete in the flyweight division at “ONE: Grit and Glory,” which will be headlined by reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva, 35, of Sao Paulo, Brazil takes on Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito, 34, of Matsudo, Japan in a highly-anticipated rematch.
