Top Indonesian martial arts talent Stefer Rahardian will put his unblemished record on the line against Indian fighter Himanshu Kaushik in a strawweight contest at “ONE: Grit and Glory.” The former is still unbeaten at a perfect record of 8 wins and 0 loss.
In August 2016, Rahardian impressed in his ONE Championship debut by winning the “ONE: Titles and Titans” Flyweight Tournament. He finished both Yotha Hutagalung and Hendrick Wijaya by first round rear-naked choke to become the tournament winner.
Since then, Rahardian has blazed a trail in the ONE Championship cage in an amazing run as a professional. In his last outing, he outperformed Pakistan’s Muhammad Imran to win by unanimous decision.
“ONE: Grit and Glory” will mark Kaushik’s ONE Championship debut. He has competed mostly in his native India, showcasing a solid set of striking and grappling skills.
A striking specialist, Kaushik also owns a wushu record of 71 wins and 7 losses. His promotional debut will be anything but easy however as he faces surging an Indonesian martial arts talent in a three-round strawweight bout.
In the main event of “ONE: Grit and Glory,” reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva, 35, of Sao Paulo, Brazil takes on Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito, 34, of Matsudo, Japan in a highly-anticipated rematch. ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong stated that the ONE Strawweight World Championship “hangs in the balance” and Silva and Naito are set to “dance once again inside the ONE Championship cage.”
