Eduardo “DuDu” Dantas, 29, of Brazil is the latest mixed martial artist to join the ongoing training camp at KHK MMA Bahrain where French fighters Karl “Psycho” Amoussou, 32, and Mehdi Baghdad, 32, are training for their upcoming bout. Both Amoussou and Baghdad have recently signed with Bahrain-based promotion Brave Combat Federation.
The upcoming bout of Amoussou and Baghdad have yet to be disclosed. Before joining Brave CF, Amoussou was from the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship (CWFC) while Baghdad was from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
On the other hand, Dantas has been fighting in Bellator MMA since 2011. He is a two-time Bellator Bantamweight Champion and winner of Bellator Season 5 Bantamweight Tournament.
Fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dantas holds a record of 20 wins and 5 losses. A professional MMA competitor since 2007, he was the winner of Shooto South American Featherweight Championship.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has attracted multiple fighters to travel to the nation to access training and facilities. Like Dantas, a massive line up of fighters are training KHK MMA Bahrain including Eldar Eldarov, Ikram Aliskerov and Hamza Kooheji.
KHK MMA Bahrain was established by Brave CF founder Sheikh Khalid. Among the world-class martial artists who had trained there are UFC fighters Frankie Edgar and Khabib Nurmagamedov.
Brave Combat Federation has announced that the current roaster will be drastically expanded alongside increasing the number of global events hosted by the promotion across venues around the world. The promotion has also announced its 12th event will take place in Indonesia although the “Brave 12” fight card is yet to be disclosed.
