“Smokin’” Jo Nattawut, 27, of the United States and Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, 32, of Italy will headline ONE Super Series at “ONE: Heroes of Honor” at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 20, 2018. In the new league, ONE Championship will introduce its five-rope ring featuring striking-only contests.
Nattawut is keen on making an instant impact in the ONE Super Series with a convincing triumph over the Armenian-Italian kickboxing superstar in their 70-kilogram tussle. But the Thai-American dynamo is not interested in giving a message to his opponent before their kickboxing bout in the ONE Super Series ring.
“I am ready to face any opponent inside that ring,” Nattawut stressed. “I have nothing to say to Giorgio Petrosyan. On April 20, I will be in the ring to give the answers, using my fists and kicks.”
Originally from Korat, Thailand, Nattawut is a former Lion Fight and World Muaythai Council (WMC) super welterweight titleholder. He has an impressive record of 60 wins, 11 losses and 2 draws.
On the other hand, Petrosyan currently has 85 wins, 2 losses and 2 No Contest. He is known for his 6-year 42-bout winning streak.
Fighting out of Atlanta, Georgia, Nattawut will be the man standing in Petrosyan’s way to claim his 86th career victory is Nattawut. The Thai-American kickboxer rose to stardom with his powerful elbow and knee strikes.
There will be three ONE Super Series bouts prior to the match between Nattawut and Petrosyan. There will be another kickboxing bout and two Muay Thai contests.
In the first bout on the ONE Super Series fight card, Elliot Compton of Australia and Cosmo Alexandre of Brazill will face each other in a Muay Thai competition in the 77.1 kg division. It will be followed by a kickboxing match between Brad Riddell of New Zealand and Regian Eersel of the Netherlands in the 78 kg division.
In the second Muay Thai bout, Nong-o Gaiyanghadao of Thailand will face Fabio Pinca of France. They will compete in the 67 kg division.
