On July 30, 2016, Kowalkiewicz won via split decision over Rose “Thug” Namajunas, 25, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the reigning UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion. After beating Namajunas, Kowalkiewicz lost via unanimous decision to Joanna Jedrzejczyk, 30, of Olsztyn, Poland, the former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion.

Kowalkiewicz currently holds a record of 11 wins and 2 losses while Herrig has 14 wins and 6 losses. The latter is fighting out of Crystal, Illinois.

From 2014 to 2017, Herrig fought six UFC bouts, winning five. The only opponent she did not defeat in the promotion was Paige “12 Gauge” VanZant, 24, of Portland, Oregon.
