Featuring nine mixed martial arts matches, “UFC 223” was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA on April 7, 2018. In the second bout of the evening, Evans-Smith and Rawlings battled it out in the women’s flyweight division.
Rob Hinds served as the referee. After three five-minute rounds, he raised the hand of Evans-Smith, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.
All of the three judges scored the bout 30-27. The victory improved Evans-Smith’s professional MMA record to 6 wins and 3 losses.
Evans-Smith had her first UFC win on February 21, 2016. She defeated Marion “The Bruiser” Reneau, 40, of Visalia, California at “UFC Fight Night 83”via split decision.

On May 10, 2015, Rawlings earned her first UFC win. She submitted Lisa Ellis, 35, of Olympia, Washington, USA via rear-naked choke in the first round.
On May 19, 2016, Rawlings earned her second UFC win by defeating Seo Hee Ham, 31, of Busan, South Korea via unanimous decision. But after defeating Ellis and Seo, Rawlings lost to her three most recent opponents.
Rawlings now has 7 wins and 8 losses. She lost to Paige “12 Gauge” VanZant, 24, of Portland, Oregon , USA on August 27, 2016, to Tecia “The Tiny Tornado” Torres, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA on February 4, 2017 and to Jessica-Rose “Jessy Jess” Clark, 30, of, of Cairns, Australia on November 18, 2017.
