“UFC 223” marked the ninth time Olivier “The Quebec Kid” Aubin-Mercier, 29, of Boucherville, Quebec, Canada competed inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship cage. He made his professional mixed martial arts debut on October 21, 2011.

Featuring nine MMA matches, “UFC 223” was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA on April 7, 2018. In the third bout of the evening, Aubin-Mercier fought Evan Dunham, 36, of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in the lightweight division.
Todd Anderson served as the referee. He stopped the fight after 53 seconds in the first round.
Aubin-Mercier defeated Dunham via technical knockout via knee and punches. The victory improved the Canadian fighter’s professional MMA record to 11 wins and 2 losses.
Dunham now has 18 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw. His UFC career started with four consecutive wins over Per Eklund, Marcus Aurelio, Efrain Escudero and Tyson Griffin.
The winning streak ended when Dunham lost to Sean Sherk and Melvin Guillard. The other opponents Dunham defeated in the UFC cage were Shamar Bailey, Nik Lentz, Gleison Tibau, Rodrigo Damm, Ross Pearson, Joe Lauzon and Rick Glenn.
“UFC 223” marked Aubin-Mercier’s ninth UFC bout. The Canadian MMA fighter lost via split decision to Chad Laprise at the The Ultimate Fighter Nations finale on April 16, 2014 and to Carlos Diego Ferreira via unanimous decision at “UFC on Fox 18” on January 30, 2016.
