11 April 2018 – Singapore: The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has just announced the complete card for “ONE: Unstoppable Dreams” set for May 18, 2018 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The absolute best in local and international martial arts talent are ready to showcase their incredible skills on the largest global platform of martial arts competition.
On the preliminary card, Huang Shi Hao, 25, of Singapore will face Xie Bin, 20, of Tianjin, China. The two will compete in the bantamweight division.
Huang is a decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner who hones his skills to be a complete martial artist at the Singapore BJJ gym. After dominating the amateur ranks with his exquisite talent, the Singaporean fighter fully realizes his dream to be a professional athlete as he is scheduled to make his ONE Championship debut against Xie.
Currently, Xie is riding a two-bout winning streak and is considered one of the most talented young fighters to come out of Tianjin. He made a successful ONE Championship debut on July 1, 2016 at “ONE: Dynasty of Champions” preliminary fight night by defeating his fellow Chinese fighter Ma Shuang via split decision.
Since the victory over Ma, Xie has put on several thrilling shows as a professional MMA fighter. In his last bout, Xie submitted Cambodia’s Chan Rothana with an impressive second-round Brabo choke.
Headlining “ONE: Unstoppable Dreams” are reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela “Unstoppable” Lee, 21, of Singapore and Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi, 35, of Japan. In the co-main events, two-division world champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, 29, will defend his featherweight title from Christian “The Warrior” Lee, 19, of Singapore while Gaiyanghadao will compete for the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Flyweight World Championship against Sergio “Little One” Wielzen, 30, of Suriname.
