Miss Universe Croatia 2017
At age 19, Petty won Miss Universe Croatia 2017 on April 28, 2017 at Esplanade Zagreb Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia. She competed against 17 other candidates.
Runner-up to Petty was Elena Jung, then 19, of Vodnjan, Croatia. The second runner-up was Marijana Josipović, then 21, of Osijek, Croatia.
On November 26, 2017, Petty represented Croatia at Miss Universe 2017 at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. She competed against 91 other candidates including Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa, who won the title.
Runner-up to Nel-Peters was Laura Gonzalez of Colombia while Davina Bennett of Jamaica was the second runner-up. Petty finished in the Top 16.
It was the third placement of Croatia in Miss Universe. The first one was Top 15 finish of Sarah Ćosić in 2009 and the second one was the Top 16 of Elizabeta Burg in 2012.
Miss Universe Croatia 2018
On April 21, 2018, Petty will crown her successor at Studio Anton Marti in Zagreb, Croatia. It is the 22nd edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Croatia’s Miss Universe candidate.
