Mixed martial arts fans do not often see Conor “The Notorious” McGregor of Ireland, Darren “The Gorilla” Till of England and British boxing superstar Amir Khan in the same venue. It took an MMA promotion like Brave Combat Federation to put these celebrity athletes together.

Headquartered in Bahrain, Brave CF made history on June 9, 2018 with its first event in Europe titled “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.” It was headlined by reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines and Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo of Ireland.

Taking place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” was graced by two Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters. McGregor and Till attended the event to support Mlambo and Rodrigo Cavalheiro of Brazil, respectively.

Mlambo lost to Loman after five five-minute rounds via unanimous decision. It was the second time the Irish contender, who is McGregor’s Straight Blast Gym (SBG) Ireland teammate, lost to the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion, who is representing Team Lakay.

On the other hand, Cavalheiro competed against Karl “Psycho” Amoussou of France in the welterweight division. With Till on his corner, the Brazilian contender knocked out his French opponent in the second round.

Unlike Till and McGregor, Khan attended the “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” fight night as a special guest who was not rooting for a specific fighter. During the event, McGregor and Khan playfully pretended to be about to fight.

The people behind the successful European MMA event was lead by Brave CF president Mohammed “The Hawk” Shahid. He was supported by the promotion’s vice president John Peter O’Reilly, chief operating officer Valeria Lang and chief creative officer Hari Bhagirath, among others.

Carlos Kremer was the ring announcer while Cyrus Fees, who was among the commentators, did the interviews with the celebrity athletes and the winning fighters. Jack “Jack L” Lukeman also provided some musical entertainment to the crowd.
