Conor “Notorious” McGregor, 29, Darren “The Gorilla” Till, 25, and Amir Khan, 31, were among the celebrity athletes who attended “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” gathered at the SSE arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2019. It was Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation’s first event in Europe.
On the preliminary card, Cian “The Warrior” Cowley, 25, of Ireland and Oktawian “Obi-Wan” Olejniczak of Poland in a catchweight of 73 kg. It was the sixth bout of the evening.
A close friend and training partner of McGregor, Cowley was clinched up at the beginning of the fight. On the other hand, Olejniczak tried to avoid his striking with wrestling moves and dropping his Irish opponent.
However, Olejniczak left an opening. Cowley recovered and used his Muay Thai skills to throw a brutal knee and finish his Polish opponent on the ground with hammer fists and elbows.
