“The Southern Eagle” Ma Hao Bin, 24, of China has yet to be defeated in the ONE Championship cage. His seventh bout in the promotion is scheduled on June 23, 2018 at “ONE: Pinnacle of Power” at the Studio City Event Center in Macau, China where he is squaring off with Danny “The King” Kingad, 22, of the Philippines.
At “ONE: Pinnacle of Power,” Ma and Kingad will compete in the flyweight division. Reigning as the ONE Flyweight World Champion is Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, 29, of Brazil.
“He is blocking my way,” Ma said of Kingad. “I want that gold around my waist. I have to defeat him in order to reach my ultimate destination in this sport.”
Ma is representing Jincan Defense Club. On the other hand, Kingad is one of the athletes of the famed Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines.
To get inch closer to a shot at the coveted ONE Flyweight World Championship, Ma has to secure a convincing victory over Kingad. The Chinese mixed martial artist said his initial goal was to continue winning until he gets closer to the title and becomes a champion.
“I want this win,” Ma shared. “I want to have a remarkable winning result, and then I want to move forward onto that flyweight belt.”
ONE Championship’s undisputed flyweight crown will be at stake at “ONE: Pinnacle of Power” as Moraes is slated to lock horns with ONE Interim Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio, 29, of the Philippines in a highly-anticipated rematch. It will be the main event with reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan, 30, and her challenger Laura “La Gladiadora” Balin, 38, of Argentina in the co-main event.
In Ma’s most recent ONE Championship bout, which took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines at “ONE: Global Superheroes” on January 26, 2018, he defeated Sotir Kichukov, 28, of Bulgaria via unanimous decision. Watch the bout here:
