The Open Championship 1860-1895
The Open Championship is a golf tournament established in 1860. The first edition was played over three rounds of the twelve-hole links course at Prestwick Golf Club in Prestwick, South Ayrshire, Scotland.
In 1871, The Open Championship was cancelled because no trophy was available. Here is the list of the tournament’s winners and their respective runners-up from 1860 to 1895:
