
Taking place at the Omnisports Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco on August 18, 2018, “Brave 14 is not only the first mixed martial arts event of a global promotion in Africa. It will also be the first event to feature a bout between a fighter from Team Lakay and a fighter from Xtreme Couture.
Founded by Mark Sangiao, Team Lakay is based in Baguio City, Philippines and is listed among the top fight teams in Asia after picking multiple wins in promotions around the world. Representing the team at “Brave 14” is Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw, 22.
Competing against Pacatiw in the bantamweight division at “Brave 14” is Keith “Killa” Lee, 21, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the brother of the Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Kevin “The Motown Phenom” Lee, 25. Keith is training out of Xtreme Couture.
Recently, Team Lakay made headlines in Europe. Representing the ream, Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, successfully defended his belt from Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Straight Blast Gym Ireland at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” at the SSE arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Loman became the youngest champion from the Philippines to defend his title in Europe. The win was the second for the Team Lakay fighter against his opponent from SBG Ireland, who is a 2015 International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) gold medalist.
“Brave 14” will mark Pacatiw’s sixth bout in Brave CF and his first bantamweight contest in the promotion. He is the fighter from the Philippines with the most number of appearances in Brave CF.
The bout is critical for Pacatiw, who has 2 wins and 3 losses in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion. It poses a threat to Team Lakay since Xtreme Couture will bring an all-around expertise backed with strong wrestling background.
On the other hand, Keith making his Brave CF debut at “Brave 14.” He is expected to bring honor to Xtreme Couture MMA, which was founded by former UFC champion Randy “The Natural” Couture, 55.
