Leandro Issa vs Muin Gafurov at ‘ONE: Kingdom of Heroes’ in Bangkok, Thailand

4 September 2018 – Bangkok, Thailand: The largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), has just announced the complete card for “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes,” which is set to ignite the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on October 6, 2018. It will feature eight ONE Super Series striking contests, which include one boxing bout, and six mixed martial arts matches.

One of the MMA bouts is between Leandro “Brodinho” Issa, 35, of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Muin “Tajik” Gafurov, 22, of Tajikistan. They will compete in the bantamweight division.

Issa is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion black belt who trains and competes out of the world-renowned Evolve Fight Team in Singapore. He holds a professional MMA record of 16 wins and 6 losses, including 10 wins by submission and two by knockout.

The Sao Paulo native has proven to be an exciting competitor with a penchant for spectacular victories. He is a pioneer of ONE Championship’s bantamweight division.

On the other hand, Gafurov has 14 wins and 2 losses and he is known for his relentless and aggressive style with solid all-around MMA skills. Featuring high-level grappling techniques and powerful striking, he utilizes a frenetic fighting pace that opponents find difficult to match.

Gafurov is known as one of the top talents to come out of Tajikistan. A force to be reckoned with in his weight class, he is riding a four-bout win streak.

In the main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, of Thailand will defend his title against Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz, 28, of Mexico. In the co-main event, Stamp Fairtex, 20, of Thailand will challenge reigning ONE Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion “Killer Bee” Kai Ting Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei.
