Training at Fairtex Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand, Stamp Fairtex, 20, will challenge reigning ONE Kickboxing Atomweight World Champion “Killer Bee” Kai Ting Chuang, 23, of Chinese Taipei in the co-main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes.” In the main event, Iran “MagnifiKO” Diaz, 28, of Mexico will challenge reigning World Boxing Council Super Flyweight World Champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, 31, who is signed with Nakornloung Promotion of Thailand.
“I can’t wait to put on a show for my hometown fans and friends,” Stamp stated. “Also, to be able to compete on the same card as our national hero Srisaket Sor Rungvisai is a total honor.”
The main event of “ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” marks ONE Championship’s inaugural boxing bout. It will also be the first time Srisaket is defending his WBC belt in Thailand.
On the other hand, Stamp will be the second female Nak Muay to take part in the ONE Super Series, the striking-only league of ONE Championship. She said, “First of all, I would like to thank ONE Championship for this opportunity.”
“Competing for the ONE Super Series title, especially at home in Thailand, it’s an honor for me,” Stamp added. “This will be the biggest fight of my career. Everyone wants to be a world champion.”
Originally from Rayong Province, Thailand, Stamp was born to a family of fruit farmers. Several of her family members practiced Muay Thai but she focused first on her farming duties and education before getting into martial arts.
“The ONE Super Series has the best in the world from all striking disciplines, including Muay Thai,” Stamp noted. “If I can win the belt here, I will be considered the best in the world in my discipline.”
“ONE: Kingdom of Heroes” will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on October 6, 2018. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring Srisaket:
