Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, will be defending his belt as the reigning Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion on November 16, 2018 at “Brave 18.” Prior to his second title defense, he talked about his team, which was founded by Mark Sangiao.
“Team Lakay stands for principles of discipline and respect,” Loman stated. “Our fighters are role models for the society and we are happy to see fighters and teams who believe in the same concept. We look forward to a great fight at ‘Brave 18.’”
“Brave 18” will take place at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town in the Kingdom of Bahrain on November 16, 2018. It will be held simultaneously with “WFCA 54,” marking the first ever collaboration between Brave CF and World Fighting Championship Akhmat.
Set to challenge Loman at “Brave 18” is Felipe Efrain, 24, who represents Chute Boxe of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is training under the tutelage of Chute Boxe head coach Diego Lima.
Recently, Team Chute Boxe and Team Lakay met and greeted each other in a mutual show of respect while Loman and Efrain were cutting weight and preparing for the fight meters apart in the same gym.
Lima, Efrain and Daniel “Willycat” Santos posed for a photograph with Loman, Sangiao and Roldan Luis Loman and after the meetup, the fighters resumed training and went ahead with their preparations. Santos is Efrain’s sparring partner while Roldan is Stephen’s father.
Stephen is the youngest world champion in Brave CF and the promotion’s first bantamweight world champion. On the other hand, Efrain is the fighter with most number of knockouts in the promotion’s bantamweight division.
Felipe won Knockout of the Night bonus three times in Brave CF. His knockout at “Brave 9” won the Knockout of the Year award.
