Samy “AK47” Sana, 29, of Paris, France has earned his first victory in ONE Super Series. Training out of Venum Training Camp in Pattaya, Thailand, the French-Algerian martial artist was one of the winners at “ONE: Conquest of Champions” on November 23, 2018.

Sana is the former WBC and A1 Muay Thai World Champion. He was the only fighter who represented France at “ONE: Conquest of Champions” and was one of the two Venum Training Camp athletes on the card.

Featuring eight mixed martial arts matches, two Muay Thai bouts and two kickboxing contests, “ONE: Conquest of Champions” took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was the fourth and last ONE Championship event to be held in the country in 2018.

In the sixth bout of the evening, Sana competed in a kickboxing contest at a catch weight of 73 kg against Armen Petrosyan, 32, of Gorizia, Italy. The latter, who is of Armenian descent, is the younger brother of Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, 32.

Sana picked up his first win on the ONE Super Series stage with a unanimous decision victory over Armen in their three-round kickboxing contest. The French kickboxer was dominant from bell to bell, rattling his Armenian-Italian opponent with swift combinations.

Armen managed to keep the bout competitive. But Sana was always a step ahead and took home a clear-cut decision win.

Winning at “ONE: Conquest of Champions” improved Sana’s professional kickboxing record to 87 wins and 3 losses. On the other hand, Armen now has 69 wins, 19 losses and 1 loss.
