Nariman Batthika represents Venezuela at Miss Supranational 2018 in Krynica-Zdroj

Representing Venezuela, Nariman Cristina “Nary” Battikha Yanyi, 23, recently competed at Miss Supranational 2018. This was a month after the model of Syrian descent was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2018.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2018

On November 9, 2017, Battikha represented Portuguesa, Venezuela at Miss Venezuela 2017 and competed against 23 other candidates at the Estudio 5 of Venevisión in Caracas. She finished in the Top 10.

On September 20, 2018, Battikha was appointed Reina Hispanoamericana Venezuela 2018. In October 2018, she traveled to Panama City, Panama.

On November 4, 2018, Battikha won Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 at Sirionó Salon of Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. She bested 29 other candidates in the 28th edition of the Hispanic-American beauty pageant.

Isabele Pandini of Brazil was Virreina Hispanoamericana 2018. The respective first to eighth runners-up were Aranza Molina of Mexico, Belen Alderete of Paraguay, Joyce Prado of Bolivia, Camila Helfmann of Chile, Lisseth Naranjo of Ecuador, Gleidys Lleyva of Cuba, Jessica McFarlane of Peru and Daniela Santeliz of Europe.

Miss Supranational 2018

Hosted by Maciej Dowbor and Ivan Padrez, the Miss Supranational 2018 coronation ceremony took place at the Miejski Osrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland on December 7, 2018. Including Venezuela and Poland, 72 countries were represented in the 10th edition of the Poland-based international beauty pageant.

Miss Supranational 2017 Jenny Kim crowned Valeria Vazquez of Puerto Rico as her successor. Battikha finished in the Top 10.

Nariman Battikha

Born in Maturin, Monagas, Venezuela, Battikha is Elías Battikha and Yaneth Battikha‘s sister. Their parents Munir Battikha and Nariman Yanyi Battikha are Syrian immigrants.

In 2012, Nary studied English in the United States. In 2013, she suffered from an eating disorder.

On November 13, 2018, Nary was appointed Miss Supranational Venezuela 2018. She is attending the Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business economics.
