K-pop boy band BTS member Park Ji-min (박지민), 23, who is professionally known as Jimin, has released his first ever solo single titled “약속” (Promise). He took to Twitter to announce the release of the song through the official account of his band.

Featuring soft guitar accompaniment by Tae Wook Lee, “약속” is 2 minutes and 31 seconds long and its vocals are both in English and in Korean. BTS fans can listen to the song on SoundCloud.

“약속” was arranged and produced by Kwon Do Hyeong, who is a producer of many songs by BTS. He and Jimin co-wrote the lyrics of the song with BTS member Kim Nam Joon (김남준), 24, who is professionally known as RM.

Kang Hyo Won, who is professionally known as Pdogg, was in charge of the digital editing at Dogg Bounce. He was the mix and master engineer while he and Chung Woo Young at Big Hit Studio were the recording engineers.

Jimin has released solo tracks on previous albums of BTS, including the songs “Lie” and “Serendipity.” However, “약속” is his first solo project outside of an album.
