Located in Western Europe, the Netherlands is the largest constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Established on March 16, 1815, the kingdom has three other constituent countries namely Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten and three special municipalities namely Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustasius.
The Netherlands was admitted to the United nations on December 10, 1945. The country borders the North Sea to the northwest, Germany to the east and Belgium to the south.
Mark Rutte, 51, is the incumbent prime minister of the Netherlands. He assumed office on October 14, 2010 and was sworn in for his third term on October 26, 2017.
