A Venezuelan doctor took to Instagram to share photos of Miss Universe 2018 second runner-up Sthefany Yoharlis Gutiérrez Gutiérrez on December 25, 2018. They are said to be what the beauty queen looked like before and after going under the knife.
Gutierrez did not deny having rhinoplasty. She even thanked Dr. Froilan Paez Salazar, the cosmetic surgeon who performed the procedure.
Salazar specializes in plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, facial surgery, rhinoplasty, ENT and otorhinolaryngology. His clinic is located at Avenida Cajigal, Institute of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology, Consultorio 48, San Bernardino in Caracas, Venezuela.
Miss Venezuela 2017
On November 9, 2017, Gutierrez represented Delta Amacuro at Miss Venezuela 2017 and competed against 23 other candidates at the Estudio 5 de Venevisión in Caracas. She won the title and received the Miss Cabello Radiante Pantene and Miss Health and Aesthetics special awards.
Also crowned were Miss World Venezuela 2017 Veruska Ljubisavljević of Vargas and Miss International Venezuela 2017 Mariem Velazco of Barinas. The respective first and second runners-up were Biliannis Alvarez of Falcon and Megan Beci of Amazonas.
Velazco was Miss Photogenic. Oriana Gil finished in the Top 10 and received the Miss Congeniality award.
Miss Universe 2018
On December 17, 2018, Gutierrez represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2018 at the Impact Arena in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She competed against 93 other candidates including Catriona Gray of the Philippines, who won the title.
Runner-up to Gray was Tamaryn Green of South Africa. Gutierrez was the second runner-up.
Kiara Ortega of Puerto Rico and H’Hen Nie of Vietnam finished in the Top 5. Marta Stepien of Thailand, Natalia Carvajal of Costa Rica, Akisha Albert of Curacao, Manita Devkota of Nepal and Sophida Kancharin of Thailand finished in the Top 10.
Ornella Gunesekere of Sri Lanka was Miss Congeniality and On-anong Homsombath of Laos won the Best National Costume. Overall, they were both unplaced.
