Fighting out of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil, Bruno “Puccibull” Pucci, 28, was one of the winners at “ONE: Eternal Glory.” It was the fourth time the fighter training out of Evolve MMA won in ONE Championship.

Featuring two Muay Thai bouts and 12 mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Eternal Glory” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on January 19, 2019. In the seventh bout of the evening, Pucci faced Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, 41, of Shizuoka, Japan in an MMA bout in the featherweight division.

Pucci was relentless in his pursuit of the takedown, pushing Boku to the fence until finally putting the Japanese veteran on his back. Once on the ground, the Brazilian fighter put on a grappling clinic, dominating his Japanese before sinking in a deep rear-naked choke to force the tap.

Referee Olivier Coste put a stop to the contest after 3 minutes and 32 seconds in the first round and raised the hand of Pucci. The victory improved the Evolve MMA athlete’s professional MMA record to 7 wins and 3 losses.

On the other hand, Boku now has 26 wins, 13 losses and 2 draws. It was the sixth time he lost in ONE Championship.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, Pucci was the only fighter who represented Brazil at “ONE: Eternal Glory.” It marked his eighth bout in ONE Championship.

On September 13, 2013, Pucci made his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Champions and Warriors” where he submitted Bashir “Somchai” Ahmad, 36, of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan via rear-naked choke in the first round. On December 11, 2015, the Brazilian fighter submitted Anthony “The Archangel” Engelen, 33, of Indonesia and the Netherlands via rear-naked choke in the second round at “ONE: Spirit of Champions.”

On June 30, 2017 at “ONE: Light of a Nation,” Pucci knocked out Jimmy “The Silencer” Yabo, 37, of Cebu, Philippines via punches in the first round. On November 17, 2018, the Brazilian fighter submitted “White Dragon” Xie Chao, 26, of Qingzhou, Shandong, China  via guillotine choke in the first round at “ONE: Warrior’s Dream.”
