Chamuaktong Fightermuaythai to face Charlie Peters at ‘ONE: Clash of Legends’ in Bangkok, Thailand

Chamuaktong Fightermuaythai, 30, is one of the six fighters representing Thailand at “ONE: Clash of Legends,” the first ONE Championship event to take place in Thailand in 2019. It marks the second time he is competing in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.

Featuring four Muay Thai bouts on the ONE Super Series card and eight mixed martial arts matches, “ONE: Clash of Legends” will take place at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on February 16, 2019. In the fourth bout of the evening, Chamuaktong will face Charlie Peters, 29, of the United Kingdom in a Muay Thai bout at a catch weight of 67.5 kg.

Peters is training out of Double K and Team Tieu. He is making his ONE Super Series debut at “ONE: Clash of Legends.”

On January 28, 2019, ONE Championship held the “ONE: Clash of Legends” open workout at the P.K. Saenchai Muay Thai Gym in Bangkok, Thailand. In attendance were Chamuaktong and his fellow Thai ONE Championship athletes namely Rika “Tinydoll” Ishige, 29, Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, Kongsak P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym, 28, Superlek Kiatmoo9, 23, and Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai, 30.

“I am so happy that ONE Championship is coming to Thailand and that I will be competing on this event,” Chamuaktong stated during the “ONE: Clash of Legends” open workout. “The Impact Arena is very big and can fit a large number of people. I would love for the Thai people to come to see me perform.”

“This is my second to perform in ONE Championship,” Chamuaktong continued. “I feel more relaxed now than the first time when everything was so new to me. I have high expectations for this fight because it will bring me to a higher level and I want to be ONE World Champion one day.”

In the main event, Nong-o will face Han Zi Hao, 23, of China for the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai Bantamweight World Championship. Also representing Thailand, “Smokin” Jo Nattawut, 29, will face Samy “AK47” Sana, 30, of France in a Muay Thai bout in the featherweight division.

Including Thailand and the U.K., 13 countries will be represented at “ONE: Hero’s Ascent.” The other countries are Cambodia, China, France, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Thailand and the United States.
