ONE Championship has just announced that ONE Warrior Series CEO Rich “Ace” Franklin, 44, and ONE Championship vice president Miesha “Cupcake” Tate, 32, will join the upcoming ONE Championship media tour in the United States, particularly in Seattle, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The two will be accompanying ONE Championship athletes Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, 32, Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez, 35, and “Super” Sage Northcutt, 22, who are all formerly signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
ONE Championship US Media Tour participants should RSVP prior to the events. The first event will take place at the Southwest Boys and Girls Club in Seattle, Washington, USA on February 25, 2019 featuring Johnson.
Alvarez and Northcutt will join Johnson in the second event on February 26, 2019 in an open workout at the Clube LA Gym in Los Angeles. It will be open to the public.
Also an open workout open to the public, the third and final leg of the tour will take place at the Xtreme Couture MMA Gym in Las Vegas on February 28, 2019. It will feature Johnson and Alvarez only.
Both Franklin and Tate will be present in the three events. The former co-hosts ONE Warrior Series, a travel series talent search which runs in 30-minute episodes and aims to discover new martial arts talent, providing promising young athletes with the platform to unleash their martial arts greatness. He travels with his co-host Jonathan Fong to search for new talents while experiencing local cultures and testing their boundaries.
A women’s mixed martial arts pioneer and a former world champion, Tate is one of the most recognizable names in the industry. She retired from professional competition in 2016 and finished her MMA career with a record of 18 wins and 7 losses.
