The Rabbit was one of the six remaining mystery celebrity singers who performed in “The Masked Singer” Season 1 episode 7 titled “All Together Now,” which aired on Fox on February 13, 2019. He competed against the Lion, the Alien, the Bee, the Monster and the Peacock.
“All Together Now” marked the first time all remaining “The Masked Singer” contestants are together in one episode. As a guest judge, JB Smoove joined resident judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke on the panel.
Before performing, the Rabbit said he is now standing out, all on his own. He said, “Much of my career was spent in a heard with others pulling my strings.”
“To be unmasked tonight would break my achy heart,” the Rabbit added. “Tonight, the puppet master becomes the ring master when I put my own spin on a classic.”
Among the six contestants, the Rabbit was the fifth to perform. He sang “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder.
“Isn’t She Lovely” is from Wonder’s 18th album titled “Songs in the Key of Life,” which was released on September 28, 1976. In collaboration with Burnetta “Bunny” Jones, he wrote the song to celebrate the birth of his daughter Aisha Morris.
Scherzinger suggested that the Rabbit could be JC Chasez of NSYNC. McCarthy jokingly said the masked singer could be her husband Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids on the Block.
Both McCarthy and Thicke agreed that he could be Joey Fatone. The former NSYNC member has denied being part of “The Masked Singer.”
“I’m here to set the record straight, people!” Fatone told Us Weekly. “My Twitter was blowing up beyond belief. It’s really funny! I’m not the rabbit. I wanted to be a judge! Why wasn’t I called?”
“I have 17 tattoos on my body,” the Rabbit also revealed. Watch his performance of “Isn’t She Lovely” here:
