Representing Vietnam, Trịnh Văn Bảo was crowned Mister International 2019 at One Esplanade in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 24, 2019. He bested 38 other contestants from around the world.
This made Trinh the second Vietnamese man to win the Mister International title. The first one was Ngô Tiến Đoàn, who was crowned Mister International 2008 on November 24, 2008 in Tainan, Taiwan.
Born in 1994, Trinh was originally from Hai Phong, Vietnam and is currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before joining Mister International 2019, he joined Supermodel Vietnam 2018 and finished first runner-up.
Mister International 2017 Seung Hwan Lee of South Korea was present to crown Trinh. The South Korean outgoing titleholder was crowned at National Theatre of Yangon in Yangon, Myanmar on April 30, 2018.
Mister International 2019 is the 13th edition of the male international beauty pageant and it was the second time it took place in the Philippines. The first time was in 2015 when Mister International 2014 Neil Perez of the Philippines crowned Pedro Mendes of Switzerland as his successor.
Runner-up to Trinh as Mister International 2019 was Francesco Piscitelli of Venezuela. Waikin Kwan of Hong Kong finished as the second runner-up.
Mark Kevin Janda Baloaloa of the Philippines and Jiří Kmoníček of Czech Republic made it to the Top 5. Mathias Duma of Norway, Nick Nolte of Thailand, Julián Rivera of Puerto Rico, Juan Ángel Barragán Gaviria of Panama and Arturo Paredes of Dominican Republic made it to the Top 10.
Naykel Niño of Nicaragua of Nicaragua won the Best in National Costume award. Duilio Vallebuona of Peru was the People’s Choice, which automatically qualified him in the Top 15.
Harrison Hans Luna of Australia, Tsuyoshi Takimura of Japan, Hwang Dae-woong of South Korea and Jesús Collado of Spain also made it to the Top 15. Watch the full Mister International 2019 coronation ceremony here:
