Training out of Hasheng MMA, “MMA Sister” Lin Heqin, 25, of China was one of the winners at “ONE: Reign of Valor.” It was her first bout in ONE Championship, marking her first win in the promotion.

“ONE: Reign of Valor” featured nine MMA matches and five ONE Super Series contests, which are kickboxing bouts. In the fifth bout of the evening, Lin faced Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres, 23, of the Philippines in an MMA match in the atomweight division. Olivier Coste served as the referee.

Lin was spectacular in her ONE Championship debut. She imposed her will in striking early but found herself getting taken down late in the first round. But the takedown proved to be detrimental for Torres.

Coste put a stop to the contest after 4 minutes and 12 seconds in the first round. Lin locked in a deep triangle choke that left Torres with no alternative but to tap out.

Winning at “ONE: Reign of Valor” improved Lin’s professional MMA record to 9 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, Torres now has 4 wins and 3 losses.

Torres was one of the two representatives of the Philippines at “ONE: Reign of Valor” while Lin was one of the two fighters who represented China. Australia, Cambodia, Finland, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Thailand and the United Kingdom were also represented.

At a young age, Lin started her training in sanda. In 2015, she retired as a competitive sanda fighter and made her professional MMA debut. Training out of Hasheng MMA, she competed in Road Fighting Championship and Kunlun Fight MMA before joining ONE Championship.
