Formerly known as Miss Eco Queen and Miss Eco Universe, Miss Eco International was formed in 2015 by Dr. Amal Rezk. She collaborated with Let’s Take Care of the Planet (LTCP), a United Nations’ project launched in Brazil in response to the United Nations’ Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.

Miss Eco International 2018

Cynthia Thomalla of the Philippines won Miss Eco International 2018 at the Cairo Opera Theater in Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt on April 27, 2018. The respective first, second, third and fourth runners-up were Astira Intan Vernadeina of Indonesia, Nguyen Thu Dung of Vietnam and Glennys Dayana Medina Segura of Costa Rica.

Nguyen later gave up her position so Medina became the new third runner-up. Daiane Garcia Savi of Brazil, who finished in the Top 10, became the new fourth runner-up.

Miss Eco International 2019

On March 29, 2019, Thomalla will crown her successor at Al Masa Capital in Cairo. It is the fifth edition of the international beauty pagaent.
