“The Hero” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, 33, of Thailand was one of the winners at “ONE: A New Era” at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan on March 31, 2019. It was his third victory in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.

“ONE: A New Era” featured 11 MMA bouts and four ONE Super Series matches, which include two kickboxing contests and two Muay Thai contests. In the ninth bout of the evening, Yodsanklai faced Andy “Souwer Power” Souwer, 36, of the Netherlands in a rematch.

Yodsanklai competed in a kickboxing contest at a catch weight of 72 kg. Atsushi Onari served as the referee.

Onari put a stop to the contest after 51 seconds in the second round. Yodsanklai knocked out Souwer.

Winning at “ONE: A New Era” improved Yodsanklai 201’s  professional kickboxing and Muay Thai record to 202 wins, 71 losses and 4 draws. On the other hand, Souwer now has 179 wins, 20 losses and 1 draw.

Including the Netherlands and Thailand, 19 countries were represented at “ONE: A New Era,” which is the first ever ONE Championship event to take place in Japan. The other countries represented were Australia, Brazil, China, Cyprus, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States.

Yodsanklai was one of the two fighters from Thailand on the “ONE: A New Era” card. Souwer solely represented the Netherlands.
