Amir Khan, 24, of Singapore will be stepping in to face Saygid Guseyn “Dagi” Arslanaliev, 24, of Turkey in the semi-final round of the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” on May 17, 2019 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The Singaporean contender will take the place of Ariel “Tarzan” Sexton, 37, of Costa Rica, the original opponent of the Turkish mixed martial artist.
Sexton defeated Khan in the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix quarter-finals at “ONE: Call to Greatness” on February 22, 2019 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. However, the Costa Rican MMA fighter was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering an injury during training.

A Singaporean Muay Thai Champion and former ONE World Title challenger, Khan has shared the Circle with some of the best that the ONE Championship lightweight division has to offer. Among his previous opponents were former ONE World Champions Eduard “Landslide” Folayang, 34, of the Philippines, Honorio “The Rock” Banario, 29, of the Philippines, Adrian “The Hunter” Pang, 41, of Australia and Papua New Guinea and Timofey Nastyukhin, 29, of Russia.
“ONE: Enter the Dragon” marks Khan’s 12th ONE Championship bout. On the other hand, it will be the eighth outing of his opponent in the Singapore-based martial arts organization.

A proven finisher with all seven of his wins coming via stoppage, Arslanaliev has dominated all of the challenges he has faced so far in his young career. He is currently riding a three-bout winning streak with victories over the likes of Nastyukhin, Tetsuya “MMA Fantasista” Yamada, 29, of Japan.
Most recently, Arslanaliev defeated former ONE World Title challenger Ev “E.T.” Ting, 29, of New Zealand and Malaysia via a 25-second knockout. The victory allowed the Turkish MMA fighter to advance to the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix semi-final round.
