Training out of Tigershark Fighting Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia, Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis, 25, was one of the winners at “ONE: For Honor.” It was his sixth victory in ONE Championship.
Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and four ONE Super Series contests, which are four Muay Thai bouts, “ONE: For Honor” took place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 4, 2019. In the second bout of the evening, Mattheis fought Himanshu Kaushik, 26, of New Delhi, India in an MMA match in the strawweight division.
Kemp Cheng served as the referee. He put a stop to the contest after 4 minutes and 42 seconds when Mattheis submitted Kaushik via rear-naked choke.
Winning at “ONE: For Honor” improved Mattheis’s professional MMA record to 8 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Kaushik now has 5 wins and 4 losses.
Mattheis was one of the hometown heroes at “ONE: For Honor” while Kaushik solely represented India. Australia, Cambodia, China, England, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, Thailand and the United States were also represented.
Born in Indonesia on May 14, 1993, Mattheis has been competing professionally since 2016. He joined ONE Championship in 2017 and “ONE: Warrior’s Dream” marked his 10th ONE Championship bout.
