Antique is one of the five provinces of the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. The province has 18 municipalities namely Anini-y, Barbaza, Belison, Bugasong, Caluya, Culasi, Hamtic, Laua-an, Libertad, Pandan, Patnongon, San Jose de Buenavista, San Remigio, Sebaste, Sibalom, Tibiao, Tobias Fornier and Valderrama.
Evelio B. Javier Airport, the only airport in Antique, is located in the San Jose de Buenavista, the capital of the province. The municipalities of the province collectively have 590 barangays, 28 of which are in San Jose de Buenavista.
Pandan resident Loren Legarda turned 59 on January 28, 2019. She will assume office as the congresswoman of Antique on June 30, 2019.
